NORMAN Holloway's picture in the Gazette on November 21, 2019 showed the tree carving of a double-sided beech seat in Fletcher Park, the work of Kendal wood sculptor Andy Levy.
It is intended to be suitable for both the young and the elderly and is an addition to the Parr Throne created in 2012. A Friendship Seat in Hawesmead Park (a symbol of racial equality) and a squirrel clasping two nuts in Nobles Rest are also Andy’s work.
- Do you know where and what this week's picture is? See the Gazette on December 5 for the answer.
