WHY are political parties, contesting a general election, allowed to issue their manifestos when they like, not when the electorate needs them to compare the philosophies and policies on offer?
The manifestos of every party whose candidates have been accepted to be on ballot papers must, in future, be issued the day after candidates' lists are issued. Why not?
