THIS Saturday there will be a general election hustings held in Grange-over-Sands. 

Residents living in the South Lakes area will have the chance to meet their prospective MP and question them on the topics they feel most strongly about. 

The three candidates attending will be James Airey for the Conservative Party, Philip Black for the Labour Party and Tim Farron for the Liberal Democrats. Steven Bolton from the Brexit Party was invited but is unable to attend.

The event will be held at the Methodist Church on Kents Bank Road at 2pm. 

The hustings will be moderated by former Bishop of Manchester and Grange resident Nigel McCulloch, who is President Elect of the Grange-over-Sands Rotary Club.

The event will begin with each candidate offering a brief outline of their aims and intentions for the next parliament, followed by questions from the floor and ending with a brief summary.
