A CAMPAIGN by Rotary clubs across South Cumbria to collect unwanted winter coats and redistribute them to the needy has proved a tremendous success.
The 'Wrap Up South Cumbria initiative was launched in October and has since collected an amazing 1,980 coats along with hats, scarves, gloves and jumpers.
Rotary in South Cumbria president Welma Robinson thanked the people of the area for their "incredible generosity" which she said would help countless homeless and needy Cumbrians to keep warm this winter.
