NORMAN Holloway's picture in the Gazette on December 5, 2019, showed the cupola on the roof of Kirkland Parish Hall, which was built in 1912 and is one of three halls previously owned by the church.
The parish hall is on the site of an earlier vicarage, and access to the church vestry for the vicar and church wardens was via an archway and doorway still to be seen in the wall on the south side of Kendal Parish Church.
- Do you know where and what this week's picture is? See the Gazette on December 19 for the answer.
