STUDENTS at a Kendal dance school once again entertained elderly residents in their annual Christmas performance tour.

Across the course of a week, more than 250 children and teenagers - ranging from three to 18-years-old - from The Dance Atikk School of Dance donned their familiar colours to turn residences such as Blackhall Croft, Kendal, a shade of purple. This is the seventh year the dance school has done this.

The dancers thoroughly enjoyed themselves, showing off their routines and chatting with the residents to share Christmas stories and memories.

Cartmel Grange Nursing Home staff were delighted to see the dancers back, while a resident said: “We know it’s the start of the Christmas season when The Dance Atikk come in, we really do enjoy seeing all the children.”

Lucy Everett, principal of The Dance Atikk, said: “I’m very proud of all my dancers who have taken the time to share and enjoy the fun of our tour.

“Both dancers and residents have had a wonderful time. I couldn’t be prouder of my dancers.”

Those interested in getting The Dance Atikk to perform at a particular care home are asked to contact Ms Everett on 07834 035 443.
