ALL are hoping for bright, crisp winter weather for the final artisans' market of the year at Sedbergh Main Street from 9.30am to 3pm on Saturday (December 14). Come along and buy those last-minute gifts. Meanwhile Farfield Mill and its cafe will be open until December 23 with a variety of craft items for sale.
FEMALE a capella group Five in a Bar will perform Yuletide songs from around the world at St Andrew's Church on Saturday in aid of Farfield Mill, from 7pm; tickets on the door.
THE Western Dales Mission Community invites to you to "Follow the Star" on Sunday, December 22. All you need is a lantern or camping light to join the "walking Nativity" from Cornerstone Community Church on New Street to St Andrew's Church. Dressing up is optional, and people of all ages, whether churchgoers or not, are invited to gather at Cornerstone Church from 4.30pm for a cuppa, then process along Main Street from 5.30pm. Mary and Joseph will try to find a place to stay en route, and a stable dwelling will await them at St Andrew's. At 6pm a carol service will be led by the church choir. For more, call 015396-21808.
