LOUISE Broughton's letter in last week's Gazette (Letters, December 12, 'Democratic') highlights why the Lib Dems failed to make any significant increase in the number of MPs elected in the recent general election. ]
What is more significant is the fact their leader lost her seat altogether. Yes, Tim Farron works hard as our local elected MP, but his party's continued policy of holding another referendum on Europe is misguided and totally unacceptable and the party has found to its cost that voters felt the same.
Whether you support the Conservative party or not, Boris needs to move the country forward out of the quagmire we have endured these past few years and make this country great again.
