A south Cumbrian restaurant is celebrating being included in a highly respected guide.
The Black Bull, Sedbergh, has been included in Hardens restaurant guide for the first time.
Hardens collects reviews from restaurant-goers up and down the country for the UK guide, to outline their best and worst dining experiences over the last 12 months.
It covers everything from fish and chip shops to gastropubs and includes over 2,800 restaurants.
The 2020 edition is based on a survey of 7,500 diners with each establishment rated on its food, service, and ambience, from five, which is exceptional, to one, which is poor.
The Black Bull picked up a trio of threes for its food, service and ambience.
Co-owner James Ratcliffe said: "Hardens reporters are a demanding bunch with discerning taste, who really know their onions.
"Our inclusion is great news for the area and for the Black Bull, further helping to boost the region’s gastro tourism offer and putting Sedbergh on the map.''
