NORTH Yorkshire’s Rural Commission has moved to address the issue of low wages in the tourism and agricultural industries.
The Commission held a December evidence session and this month will hear from individuals, businesses and other groups involved in agriculture as they formulate a strategy.
The news follows calls by Cumbria Tourism chiefs for the new Government to address the issue of low tourism sector wages.
