TIM Farron must be congratulated for being re-elected as our Member of Parliament. His return with an increased majority was a lesson that needs to be examined by those MPs who lost their seats and by all political parties and parliamentary candidates.
I believe Mr Farron earned his increased majority by his exceptional hard work as our representative. It would seem many of those who lost their seats did so because they took their electorate for granted by not keeping in close touch with them and not understanding their views or their needs.
The most important job for an MP is to take care of his or her constituents and their needs and problems and to be their representative in Parliament. This is the work which Mr Farron does exceptionally well and thus his well deserved re-election. Taking care of one’s constituents is much more important than political dogma
