PEOPLE are being invited to attend a talk and learn astounding facts about lichens.
Dr Judith Allinson will host the event at St John's Methodist Church, on Church Street in Settle on Thursday, January 16.
She will talk about how to recognise lichens, where to see them and explain how they work.
People who attend the event will also be able to take home a simple guide for identifying lichens.
Entrance is £3 for non-members.
