TWO art groups have joined forces for an exhibition which will be held in Ulverston.

It will be the second joint exhibition for the Tally Ho Drink and Draw group from Barrow and the Natterjacks Drink and Draw group from Ulverston.

Both groups were set up three years ago by Tim Leeson and Denny Derbyshire, the respective group coordinators. The groups were set up to give aspiring amateur artists a platform to put their art put in the public domain.

Denny at The Tally Ho group has encouraged the group to use innovative techniques and has installed real confidence into the group.

Tim Leeson is coordinator of the Natterjacks group in Ulverston has encouraged the social aspect as well as the art itself at the group’s fortnightly meetings.

Tim and Denny believe the social aspect is very important and all sessions are free of charge.

The exhibition promises to show a plethora of talent with artists covering different subjects and using varying techniques. Techniques vary from watercolour painting to lino cut prints.

Some of the artists have progressed and filtered into other art groups including South Lakes Arts Collective and Barrow society of Artists.

There will be approximately 30 pieces on show.

The exhibition is called Drink and Draw and will run from March 2 to April 24 at Natterjacks, 34 Queen Street, Ulverston.

It will be open from 5pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday, and admission is free.
