THE environmental achievements of individuals, groups or organisations will be recognised by this year’s regional Green Apple Awards.
Paul Whitaker, chairman of Craven District Council (CDC), which has launched the awards in Craven, said CDC was looking for those who were “leading the way in environmental best practice”. This could be through, he added, waste management, conservation work, energy saving programmes or various other projects.
Winners will get a Green Apple Award accreditation and progress to the International Green Apple Awards.
The deadline for entries is March 4. Visit www.cravendc.gov.uk/green-awards to enter and for more information.
