I SHOULD like to offer my sincere thanks to all those who came to my assistance when I suffered a cardiac arrest in the NatWest bank in Kendal early in November 2019.
I have now returned home from hospital and am well on the road to recovery thanks to the dedication of not only the bank staff but the police and of course the ambulance officers, together with others who acted promptly and professionally.
My sincere thanks are also due to the staff of the intensive care unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary together with the staff of the Langdale unit at Westmorland General Hospital, Kendal. To describe the nurses as angels is no exaggeration, believe me.
All the ward staff in both hospitals acted as dedicated professionals should, and were kind, courteous, considerate and respectful at all times. My thanks are also due to the staff of Cumbria County Council's reablement service for their care, kindness and concern.
I am grateful to you all for saving my life.
