GRANGE Probus members enjoyed an entertaining and informative talk by Geoff Wood on 'what’s that – and more!'
At a previous meeting, Geoff had described unusual features and buildings round the coast of Morecambe Bay - from Silverdale to Lindale - and he continued the journey to Barrow.
He used Pevsner’s architecture guide as part of his research and his own curiosity has also unearthed many local quirks and oddities.
The treasurer announced an increase of meeting fees to £5 for members and £6 for visitors, including refreshments.
The club’s next meeting will be on Monday, February 10 at 10.30am, when M Hamilton and A Simpson will talk about Crossfields and the Severn Boat.
Grange Probus Club welcomes retired men and women as new members, and meets on the second Monday of each month at the Netherwood Hotel. Contact Derek Jackson on 015395 59086 or Neil Martin on 01524 702382 for more information.
