A PENSIONER was convicted of drink driving after being a stopped on a road in Kendal.
Jack Wilson, 73, was driving on Shap Road on January 18 when he was stopped by a police officer.
Appearing at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow, he pleaded guilty to driving while over to limit.
Police recorded a reading of 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The defendant, of Selside, was banned from driving for 12 months.
He was also told to pay a £150 fine, £32 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
