A SOUTH Cumbria man accused of alleged sex assaults on a girl has denied all of the charges he faces.
Luke Swindenbank, 36, faced seven charges when he appeared in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court.
Four of these modern day charges allege the assault of a child by penetration, while three allege the sexual assault of the same youngster.
Swindenbank pleaded not guilty each of the seven allegations when they were read to him by a court clerk.
A timetable for the progression of the case was outlined by David Bentley, for the prosecution.
Swindenbank, who lives near Kendal, is now due to stand trial in front of a jury at the crown court. It is estimated this hearing will last around five days, and is set to start on August 3.
He was granted bail by Judge Peter Davies.
