THE Bongate Weir Group would like to thank everyone who came along to the public information event in Appleby on January 29 and shared their views both for and against the proposal to remove the damaged weir on the River Eden in Appleby.
There is still time to share your view on our proposal before we make a final decision whether to proceed with the proposal or withdraw it.
You can complete the response form in the leaflet that was delivered to households week commencing January 20 and either post it to the Bongate Weir Group c/o Eden Rivers Trust, Dunmail Building, Newton Rigg College, Penrith CA11 0AH or put it in the Bongate Weir boxes sited in Appleby Tourist Information Centre and Appleby Library.
