AN APPEAL to fix the leaking roof at the village primary school is "going well so far", Silverdale Parish Council was told.
Works are expected to start at St John's CE Primary School around June time, lasting eight weeks, councillors heard.
Chair of governors Jim Bennetts thanked the parish council for its donation and said more money still needed to be raised.
Repairs to the flat roofs are likely to cost £130,000. The school dates back around 130 years.
