A financial planner has been named one of the top-rated advisers in the country.
Chris Wheatman, managing director and financial adviser at Advice Matters Financial Planning Ltd, in Kendal, has been included in a guide to the country’s best advisers, published in The Times.
Financial adviser ratings website VouchedFor and The Times created a list of the top-rated financial advisers and planners in the UK.
Chris said: “Many awards and accreditations in the financial services industry are based on technical knowledge or the ability to take an exam.
"Whilst both of these are important, it’s fantastic to receive an accolade based on the views of those that matter most to our business – our clients.

Chris, who has 35 years experience working in the financial sector, was born in Kendal although the company covers the whole of Cumbria and the North.
He added: “I really enjoy working with clients who understand the value of financial planning and particularly enjoy getting to grips with the more complex issues."
