ONCE again our roads in Cumbria have been turned into rivers.
One of the reasons is pure lack of maintenance of road gullies.
As a resident of Bowness-on-Windermere and walking regularly in Bowness and Windermere, I have observed many road gullies that have been blocked for years, and I mean years; why?
I believe the council have a gully-cleaning vehicle specially for the job, so why is it not used?
I would also ask the question, who in authority is responsible for the maintenance programme, if there is one? The buck should stop somewhere.
