TWO men have been charged in connection with a series of alleged burglaries in the Kendal area.
Twenty-seven-year-old Mihalache Ionut and 23-year-old Cojocaru Ionut, both of Wildman Street, Kendal, have been charged with conspiring to commit burglary.
They are appearing at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, Barrow, today.
No further action was taken against a third man who was arrested.
During their inquiries into the series of alleged incidents, police officers seized a large quantity of jewellery. A constabulary spokesman said some of the items had been identified as stolen but the majority remained unidentified at this time.
