THE Antiques Roadshow is coming to the South Lakes.

The long-running BBC show will visit Windermere Jetty on Tuesday, June 9.

First broadcast in 1979, Antiques Roadshow is one of the broadcaster’s most popular programmes.

The show’s presenter, Fiona Bruce, said: “We saw some astounding valuations in last year’s series. Let’s try and do even better this year.

"Thousands of people come to each Roadshow filming day hoping their car boot bargains and family heirlooms are missing masterpieces or priceless treasures. All comers welcome so do bring along your objects and let’s see if we can unearth some truly amazing finds.”

Entry is free and no tickets or pre-registration is required. Visitors can also share their stories about special items they are bringing along at www.bbc.co.uk/antiquesroadshow
