A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision on the B6480.
The incident occurred at Wennington, near Bentham, at around 6.30am. It involved a motorcycle and a car.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two ambulances and an air ambulance attended.
The motorcyclist, a man in his early fifties, was airlifted to hospital with what is believed were serious injuries to his legs.
