I WOULD like to reply to Sue Just (Letters, March 5, 'Kindness is so important"').
Like her and many others I worry about the unkindness and cruelty in the world. I have grandchildren and worry for their futures.
But I do think and hope there is more good than bad: random acts of kindness, children caring for their environment, people helping one another.
I'm a big believer in "smile", "be nice" and, importantly, if you can't say something positive don't say anything!
"Nice" is a very underrated word. If we were all nice to each other, wouldn't the world be a lovely place?
Keep up the good work, Gazette; you are the voice of the local people.
