DURING these uncertain times, businesses are being forced to find new ways to continue surviving.

This has been no different for business owners in the Lakes and South Cumbria.

Restaurants, cafes and even some bars across South Lakeland and the Lake District have adapted to provide new takeaway services along with other creative responses to the unprecedented challenges businesses currently face.

Here are just some examples of the creative ways businesses in the area have responded:

  • Kysty Bistro, Ambleside

Owners Ryan and Craig Blackburn have devised a new takeaway menu to continue serving customers while restaurants across the country remain closed during the epidemic. The service runs between 9am and 10pm, from Tuesday to Saturday.

  • The Factory Tap, Kendal

The Kendal pub has come up with a takeaway service using washed plastic cartons as containers for the draught beer usually served at its premises. Its takeout service is to run between 4pm and 7pm.

At the Westmorland Gazette, we want to do everything we can to help.

Is your food and drink business also offering a takeaway service like this?
