CORONAVIRUS has sadly forced the postponement of several planned events, including the annual dinner and the Annual General Meeting of Grasmere Village Society, which should have taken place today on March 19 and 26.

FELLOWSHIP's AGM, which should have taken place on Thursday, March 19 has also been postponed until further notice.

KNIT and NAT is also cancelled until further notice.

Wordsworth Grasmere, in partnership with Aerial Festival, bring poetry to the people on Stagecoach’s 555 and 599 on Thursday 19 March.

Bus travellers between Windermere and Keswick may be a little surprised when poets Kim Moore and Clare Shaw climb aboard the 555 and 599 buses today.

Kim and Clare will perform their own contemporary work as well as sharing some of Wordsworth’s words with passengers as they journey through the landscape that inspired some of the Lakes’ greatest poetry – and continues to inspire poets today!

EARLY YEARS sessions at the Wordsworth Trust are designed to encourage children under 5 to be creative and playful. Each themed morning is a mixture of songs, stories and play-based learning, inspired by William Wordsworth’s poetry and his life at Dove Cottage 200 years ago.
