STAFF at a Kirkby Lonsdale care home have been doing all they can to keep the spirits of elderly residents up during the coronavirus outbreak.
On Mother’s Day on Sunday, Brant Howe resident Kath Bradley was treated to family members holding up signs saying ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ and ‘We Love You’ from the other side of the door (pictured).
“We have been doing a lot of video calling - they are actually in very good spirits,” said Rachel Dickinson, admin manager at the home.
“We have encouraged the local people to do cards and we have had painted pebbles (from local children) sent.”
She added residents had also been keeping fit by doing Zumba and had been inspired to paint their own pebbles by the children’s delivery.
