South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, Barrow-in-Furness
A KENDAL man has been remanded in custody after being accused of assaulting a police officer.
Jeffrey Hayton, of New Road, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on April 13.
The 54-year-old is accused of assaulting PC Anthony Ainsley, being drunk and disorderly in public, and a public order offence.
Hayton, who was represented in court by Chris Evans, will next appear on April 16 via video link.
