A further five people have died at Cumbria's two acute hospital trusts.
In the latest NHS England figures (released on April 19) no deaths have yet to be officially confirmed for Saturday in hospitals run by the North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) NHS Foundation Trust; at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust; or at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay (MBHT) NHS Foundation Trust.
However, it is understood that two people sadly lost their lives on Saturday at hospitals run by the MBHT NHS Foundation Trust.
Deaths are not always immediately confirmed by health bosses.
However, in yesterday's figures there were three more deaths confirmed for the NCIC NHS Foundation Trust. These patients sadly died on Friday.
The total deaths for the three trusts are as follows:
- Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust - 4
- NCIC NHS Foundation Trust - 95
- MBHT NHS Foundation Trust - 126
