A further five people have died after contracting coronavirus at the two NHS trusts with acute hospitals in Cumbria.
The latest NHS England figures show that there were three more deaths at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven and two more deaths at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the Furness General Hospital in Barrow and the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
It takes the total dead at the two trusts to 144 at the Morecambe Bay Trust and 116 at the north Cumbria trust.
There has also been six deaths at the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, which operates The Carleton Clinic in Carlisle.
