SUPERMARKETS have revealed updated guidance on how many of each item people can buy.

Restrictions were put in place on a number of essential items when stocks ran low at the start of the coronavirus crisis.

A reduction in the number of people shopping and an increase in supplies have seen some supermarket chains relax limits on purchasing some items.

Tesco has removed most of its three item per person limit on most of its products.

But there is still a limit on essentials including toilet rolls, cleaning products, hand sanitiser, pasta and rice, eggs and baking products.

At Morrisons there are no limits on any items.

Asda is limiting products that are in high demand, although there is no conclusive list of these.

Similarly, there are no restrictions on products.
