Cumbria police have reminded the public to avoid scam emails
CUMBRIA Police have urged caution to the public regarding a new wave of cyber crime known as 'phishing'.
Police tweeted: "Cyber criminals use fake messages as bait to lure you into clicking on the links within their scam email or text message, or to give away sensitive information."
If you receive an email that you are not sure about contact the Suspicious Email Reporting Service on report@phishing.gov.uk.
