A NATIONALLY recognised comedian is uniting with other comics to put on a livestreaming fundraiser on bank holiday.

Eight Out Of Ten Cats panellist Jon Richardson, who was born in Lancaster, will be working with other comedians to put on the ‘No Audience with Jon Richardson and friends’ comedy show on May 25 between 8pm-10pm.

The live stream will be part of efforts to raise funds for several organisations including St John’s Hospice, which looks after terminally ill people in the South Lakes, Community Foundation for Lancashire COVID-19 Fund, NHS Charities Together, music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins and the United We Stream Solidarity Fund.

Jon said: “I’ve never taken for granted the amazing work St John’s Hospice does and that’s why I set up an annual gig in Morecambe.

“What I realise I have taken for granted is how much the area means to me and how much I love being able to travel there.

"It makes sense to host an online celebration of Lancashire to raise money for charities across the county who are struggling to keep their vital services going. We have some amazing people contributing.”
