Ulverston hate crime suspected
POLICE are investigating a suspected hate crime that took place in Ulverston.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said they are looking into allegations that an elderly man was subjected to verbal abuse which they believe was motivated by his disability.
The victim, who has dementia, was shouted at and insulted by two individuals who accused him of ignoring social distancing.
The spokesman said the investigation is ongoing.
