LAST week’s picture - above - showed:
A painting of a horse’s head inside a circle which is on the rear wall of the former Dun Horse public house in Stramongate.
There is no specific date as to when the pub was built but it is shown on a map by John Wood of 1833.
At the front of the building high up on a lead spout are the initials of one of the former landlords, John Archer.
