SHOCKING footage has emerged which shows a number of people climbing the barrier at a closed North Yorkshire tourist trail.
The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail has been closed 'until further notice' since May 21 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
But many visitors apparently ignored this on Saturday as a video showed people climbing the gate at the entrance to the beauty spot.
The video was posted by 'North Yorkshire Weather Updates' to its Facebook page with the comment: "Ingleton Waterfalls is CLOSED but this has been happening all morning. Police tape ripped down."
A 72-year-old man had to be rescued after slipping and falling in a field across from the trail entrance while trying to circumvent the barrier.
