CARTMEL Post Office will reopen in a new location at Cartmel Ground Art Gallery on July 7.
The Grange-over-Sands Postmaster had previously offered the service from a store in Aynsome Road.
However, this premises has not been available for post office use since March 24.
The newly located branch will still be operated by the postmaster from Grange-over-Sands.
It will have the same opening hours as the previous branch of Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 1pm.
A Post Office spokesperson said the move would "ensure the future of our services for customers in the local community for years to come".
Whilst the decision to reopen the service has been made, the Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a public consultation.
They are looking for feedback about accessibility and other issues.
