Loneilness is pandemic
A NEW service will tackle the pandemic of loneliness.
The Lighthouse: Beacon Remote Befriending Service will span for a 12 month period and provides peer support via telephone or other remote forms of communication for those struggling with their mental health and social isolation. Beacon is initially being set up in response to the Coronavirus crisis, but The Lighthouse plan to continue this as a permanent service.
For those struggling with mental health issues over 18 and live in the South Lakes area are eligible to be part of the service.
