A MULTI Michelin star chef has revealed when his South Lakes restaurants will reopen to the public.

Simon Rogan’s restaurants in Cartmel, L’Enclume and Rogan & Co, will reopen on Saturday while Henrock, based at Linthwaite House in Windermere, will open from Thursday.

Guests can still expect the highest of standards from his restaurants, with much of the produce coming from his Lake District farm, ‘Our Farm’ .

At Rogan & Co, following Barrow chef Tom Barnes’ triumphant BBC Great British Menu win in the spring, diners can experience the entire six course menu that took the executive chef of the North West through to the final banquet for £95 per person.

At Henrock, outdoor dining on the terrace will be provided from July 9. The full restaurant menu, will follow from August. The hotel will open for stays on July 31.

Throughout lockdown Rogan has shared his culinary prowess with the local community in several ways.

Firstly he and his team began cooking and delivering food for the elderly and vulnerable, as well as providing meal kits for residents.

As restrictions have eased, the team have developed ‘Simon Rogan at Home’, which brings restaurant quality dishes into diners’ own homes.

The service almost sold out immediately. The concept offers everything from veg boxes, to baked goods and beer, as well as three-course weekly-changing set menus.

Once restrictions have eased further, the team are planning on launching ‘Chefs at Home’, where one of Rogan’s skilled chefs will cook personally for guests within their homes or holidays cottages.
