A LAKES MP has urged the treasury minister to extend financial support for hospitality and tourism.
South Lakes MP Tim Farron has pressed ministers to provide a long-term package of support for Cumbria’s hospitality and tourism sector ahead of the Chancellor’s budget statement today.
He said: “The industry will see hundreds of successful businesses fail and tens of thousands of jobs lost, unless the Chancellor agrees to a package of grant and wage support in the budget statement."
