The Furness area has long been home to many motorcycle enthusiasts and The Mail was there for when a new show was staged at Ulverston's Coronation Hall.
The Blackburn-based Reapers Motorcycle Club organised their first show in the area 1991, in what was described as a 'gleaming display of nostalgia.'
Around 60 machines were on display were on display around the North West, thanks to the club's president, Phil Lane, hailing from Ulverston.
Displays included classics such as BSA, Norton, Triumph and Harley Davidson, the last of which had a noteworthy fan in Mayor of Ulverston Bill Davies.
After getting to grips with one of the classic Harleys, Mr Davies recalled his biking days from the 1930s.
He said: "I used to have a Royal Enfield 350cc. I paid five pounds for it in those days, it was a jolly good bike as well."
He also recalled a tale when the police came after him for his bike having no exhaust and he managed to give them the slip.
The show as a whole was well-attended and it included a rock concert in the evening that was in the aid of charity.
In 1992, the Reapers MC were intending on making this a yearly event and they put on another show that included thousands of pounds worth of vintage, veteran, classic and modern motorcycles.
A Harley Davidson 1945 combination outfit was one of the most popular machines on display, while an ex-TT racer was shown by Eddie Crooks Motor Cycles.
Further money was raised for charity after the 1993 show, with proceeds going to the Croft Centre, Barrow.
