A 32-YEAR-OLD driver from Carlisle was arrested for drink driving after his vehicle crashed.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm on Sunday evening in Longtown.

A spokesman for Cumbria Constabulary said: "We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision on Netherby Road.

"The driver was taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

"At around 11.55pm that evening, the driver, a 32-year-old man, was arrested for driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol.

"He has now been released and will be reported for the offence."
