South Lakeland District Council has pleaded with the public to not leave litter in playgrounds, after numerous occasions of littering.
In a tweet a spokesperson said: "The summer holidays are here and it's great to welcome you back to our play areas across South Lakeland.
"Unfortunately a lot of litter is being dropped. Please use the bins in the playground or take your rubbish home so everyone can stay safe while having fun. Thank you."
