THREE people in Milburn are celebrating, after after winning £1,000 - in each case due to their 'lucky' postcode.
The neighbours netted the windfall when CA10 1TL was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Tuesday, July 28.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt congratulated and sent her well-wishes to the winners. She said: “What great news for our winners! Congratulations to them, I hope they go and treat themselves to something nice with their winnings.”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities. Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of charitable causes in the UK and beyond.
This draw was promoted by The Ramblers, which has received over £10.1 million in funding from People’s Postcode Lottery participants. The charity works to protect and expand the places where people love to walk.
Other charities in the area will next be able to apply for funding in August.
