MOTORCYCLISTS across Cumbria are being cashback to undertake a road safety course.
Morecambe Bay Estuaries Advanced Motorcyclists (MBEAM), part of the UK’s largest independent road safety charity, has partnered up with Cumbria Road Safety Partnership to offer motorcyclists up to £100 cashback on an advanced riding course, designed to support, refresh and improve road skills.
Motorcyclists from Cumbria taking the Institute of Advanced Motorist’s (IAM) accredited Advanced Motorcycle Rider Training through MBEAM can qualify on completion for the cash.
The courses are individually tailored to each rider, comprising a minimum of six coaching sessions at times to suit, with an IAM observer leading up to a test, all conducted locally.
MBEAM chairman Rudy Rengers said: “Everyone can become a safer and more skilful rider though a course like this, which refines skills, increases awareness and anticipation, and awards you a national qualification that most insurers reward with lower premiums.”
