A HOUSE in Cumbria that was listed for only £1,000 has gone under the hammer at an auction.
Its lowly guide price made it the cheapest house being advertised in the county before it was sold in the online auction.
The two-bedroom terraced house is situated on Duke Street in Cleator Moor.
It was sold with Bond Wolfe Auctions for £39,000.
It was only able to be viewed from the outside and no images of its inside had been advertised.
A listing said the property was 'in need of modernisation’.
