A FAMILY has been rescued after getting lost on the coast to coast walk.
A couple who had their daughter with them were forced to call for help after losing their way between Grasmere and Stonethwaite.
Volunteers from Keswick Mountain Rescue helped the family to safety. A spokesman said: “A small team was sent up the Borrowdale Valley and found the family part way up the Greenup Ghyll valley. The family’s mobile phone battery had finally died after repeatedly trying to call for help.”
