A Frizington man has been jailed after he breached a restraining order.
Carl Andrew Doran, 33, of Frizington Road, pleaded guilty to the offence after he contacted a woman when he was banned from doing so by a restraining order imposed by Carlisle Crown Court in December.
Magistrates sitting at the Workington court on Friday heard that Doran committed the offence shortly after being released from prison following an assault on the same victim.
Doran was jailed for four weeks and was ordered to pay £85 court costs and £128 victim surcharge.
